Moisture problems solved through science, innovation and HT-300 Polyiso Pipe Insulation from PIR Foam Supply...

  • Current scientific and engineering literature offers abundant information about moisture control. Putting that knowledge into practice requires a comprehensive approach.

Choosing the right pipe insulation system is a vital long term cost effective step. In buildings, there are often times thousands of feet of pipe being used as part of the heating and cooling system. That’s thousands of feet of opportunity to minimize water condensation and potential moisture-related problems. Choose the most trusted and cost effective Pipe Insulation in the industry, HT-300 your preferred choice. Hot or cold, condensation or mold, we got you covered!

  • Occurrence of mold in fiberglass insulation in buildings: causes, hazards, cure and prevention

The photos above illustrate just how fragile and vulnerable fiberglass pipe insulation is to the effects of moisture causing mold in HVAC systems. Water or condensate leaks into an HVAC duct system and becomes an invitation for mold and bacterial contamination. HT-300 is a closed-cell high-performance insulation for pipe, equipment and duct applications. It is the most cost effective choice on the market for chilled water and other commercial pipe insulation systems with service temperatures in the 35°F to 300°F range. (In fact, HT-300 pipe insulation is used extensively in a variety of applications within the service temperature range of -297°F to 300°F Choosing the right pipe insulation is a vital step in potentially saving millions of dollars in maintenance and repair costs down the road.

  • Thermal conductivity

(k-factor) is a key consideration in choosing the right pipe insulation. The low k-factor of HT-300 pipe insulation gives it superior insulating ability, helping to keep the cold pipe surface as isolated as possible from the surrounding air. This isolation prevents water in humid air from condensing on the pipe. And the low permeability rating of HT-300 gives it excellent resistance to the vapor drive found in cold service applications, further reducing the potential for water penetration into the system. Finally, HT-300 is not known to be a nutrient source for mold growth, and it's closed-cell structure does not wick water or sustain mold growth within the insulation material.
